PETER MENG 孟小平
Xiaoping (Peter) Meng, Xiaoping Meng, born in the ancient capital of Xi’an, also known as the “ordinary man in the apricot forest”, was the former vice president of Richmond Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Club. His is currently the vice president of HanMoYaJi. He has been inspired by art when he was very young, and has had a strong passion of Chinese Culture, especially Chinese painting, bonsai, carving. The ancient capital has helped him hone his artistic skills, and he was able to create his own unique artistic style. His Chinese painting skill was trained under Professor ZhiGuang Zhang, of the Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts. Over the years, he has diligently researched and studied the artistic theory, and putting them into practice. In 2007 and 2012, His artwork has been displayed in Galleries of the Richmond Public Library and Richmond City Hall Respectively. A number of media sources interviewed him and published articles of him, and his works was collected by domestic and international art enthusiasts. Two books has been published under his name, The Collected Essays of HuaPaoZhai and Personal Chinese Painting Selection of XiaoPingMeng.

孟小平,古都西安人,号杏林庸人,曾任加拿大列治文市中国书画协会副会长。现任翰墨风情雅叙副会长。自幼喜好艺术,尤其对中国文化情有独钟,对国画、盆景、雕刻等均有涉猎。十三朝古都的文化熏陶,耳濡目染,造就了独特的艺术风格。国画师从西安美院国画系主任张之光教授。多年来潜心研究绘画理论和实践,笔耕不缀。2007年,2012年先后在加拿大列治文市图书馆,列治文市政厅举办个人画展。被多家媒体报道,作品被国内外机构和个人广为收藏。出版有《画匏斋杂记》,《孟小平画集》。
