IAG-002 CHAN Tinyan

Tinyan CHAN   SFCA Tinyan studied in the Canton Academy of Fine Arts in Guangzhou, China  and the prestigious L’Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, France. In 1968, Tinyan immigrated to Canada to start his career as a professional artist. Since the early 1970’s, Tinyan has held more than one hundred one-man shows in many of the major cities of North America. He made his entrance into the mainstream Canadian art society in the late 1970’s by becoming a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists (F.C.A). In 1983, he was the first Chinese artist to be selected by the F.C.A as a Senior Member of the association, thus being granted the title of S.F.C.A.  Tinyan won  several  International Awards and Medals. The extent of his achievements were acknowledged in the year 2011 when he was selected by the F.C.A to be the recipient of the “Lifetime Achievement Award”. This award was presented in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the world of art. Tinyan was the first Asian to receive such a high honour and accomplishment  in the 70 years history of the Federation’s establishment since 1941.

陳田恩  十六歲以優異成績考取武漢  “中南美術專科學校附中”  接受蘇、俄式傳統嚴格的藝術訓練，後來田恩考入廣州美術學院。 一九六七年到法國，巴黎；考取 “法國國立高等美術學院” 繼續深造。 一九六八年，田恩以專業藝術家身份定居加拿大溫哥華。 五十多年的藝術創作歷程，在加拿大、美國各大城市所舉辦的個人畫展 “田恩繪畫新作展” 超過一百次。並參展多次國際性美術展覽， 獲獎無數。 一九八三年，被  “加拿大藝術家協會”  接納為該會之  “加拿大藝術家協會資深永久會員”，並獲  “S.F.C.A.”  此著名專業藝術家的畫家職稱； 為當時第一位亞洲裔畫家獲該項殊榮。 陳田恩長久以來對藝術世界傑出的貢獻, 為北美藝術界及社會所關注; 二零一一年四月，加拿大藝術家協會之 “名譽授予委員會” 頒予陳田恩 “終身成就獎”。陳田恩為從一九四一年該會成立七十多年以來，獲此項榮譽的首位亞裔藝術家。
