ANNIE PELLETIER
Annie Pelletier was born and raised in Quebec, Canada.
She completed her first oil painting at the age of twelve which began a lifetime passion for art. A self-directed artist, she continues to paint and had her first exhibition in 1990 in Jasper Alberta. With her husband and three sons, she has lived in many cities. Discovering new places and meeting new people has enriched her life and work. Her fascination with colour, music and movement has influenced her unique style.
Annies’ contemporary creations will carry you away into a vibrant and whimsical world. She captures on Canvas the magic of a flower, a breeze, the light that dances in her children’s eyes. Annie now lives and paints in Tianjing, China.
Annie has been a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists since 2010.
Her work has been inspired by her experiences in many ways, as she moved around the world, encountering new cultures, meeting wonderful people, and discovering new locations. This transformative journey resulted in her very own view of the world, illustrated in her creations.
When she started creating, with oil as a medium, she was mesmerized by the paint itself; the texture, softness, and graceful flow of the brush reminded her of cake icing and she wanted to dive in it. Today, she is still fascinated and in love with her creative process, one brush stroke at a time. Painting is her passion. She always feels this urge, this need to express herself through creation, and one by one, her paintings become compelling adventures, constantly renewed.
She paints the colour of music, the grace of a flower, the wind, and the rain… She captures emotions that she turns into memories, both in reality and in dreams. Moments that are vibrant and whimsical, hopefully bringing happiness in a world that is not always so colourful.
In January 2017, Annie moved back to British Columbia from China, where she lived for almost 5 years. Through her travels, she realized we are all interconnected, as described by the Chinese saying “Guanxi”. When she mixes colours, she feels people’s minds are also mixing, exchanging, and connecting. Our planet is beautifully small and extremely fragile, and as she paints she feels in touch with our world.
裴安妮在加拿大的魁北克出生並長大，她在12歲時完成了自己人生中第一幅油畫創作，並從此開啟了對藝術一生的追求。作為一個自我導向的藝術家，她不斷創作並在1990年於加拿大贾阿尔伯塔省斯珀市舉辦了自己的第一次畫展。
她與自己的丈夫和三個兒子居住過很多城市。在這不斷探索的旅程中结识了許多新朋友丰富了她的生活和工作。她獨特的風格都源於她對色彩，音樂和運動的着迷。
安妮最新的創作作品會把你帶到一個栩栩如生，生機盎然，並奇幻無比的世界裡。在她的畫中，有從孩子們眼裡看到在微風和光中搖曳生姿的奇幻花朵。安妮現在住在中國天津並在這裡創作。
